About Us

SusCircle Partners is led by Andy Booth, a sustainability leader with over 20 years of experience in the extractives, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Andy combines practical, field-based experience with corporate-level strategy, enabling him to deliver solutions that are both context-driven and aligned with international best practice. Andy has developed and implemented sustainability-focused management systems, cross-sector partnerships, and capacity-building programmes worldwide. He has held senior roles with Anglo American, Tullow Oil, BG Group and Environmental Resources Management (ERM).

Lisa van Dongen

Lisa van Dongen is a South African social performance practitioner with more than 20 years' experience in consulting and facilitation. At its core, Lisa believes that sustainability is dependent on the quality of relationships between stakeholders. As such, the key principle informing her work is the promotion of healthy and mutually beneficial relationships between diverse stakeholders.

Lisa specialises in the Governance aspects of social performance management including purpose, strategy, management systems and performance management. She also focuses on how strong governance is effectively implemented through agreement making, participatory design, management and monitoring.

Stuart Hume

Stuart Hume has 28 years of international experience across 51 countries.

Stuart has extensive expertise in applying development finance institution requirements across diverse sectors, including afforestation, reforestation, and revegetation (ARR) projects; renewable energy generation; mining; and urban electrical transmission and distribution. His specialist skills include social due diligence, resettlement planning, labour audits, human rights impact assessments, and the design and delivery of professional training programmes.

Stuart has a deep understanding of hydrogeology and groundwater chemistry and spent two years in Botswana supervising rural groundwater rehabilitation projects. He has a degree in International Development Studies from University College London.

Rob Gerrits

Rob Gerrits is a highly experienced Social Development Specialist with over 30 years spanning the private sector, IFC/World Bank and the aid sector. He has held senior leadership roles including Social Performance Director for the Mozambique LNG Project and Head of Social Performance for Tullow Oil Kenya. Rob is able to bring strategic and operational expertise to complex, large-scale developments.

Rob has led company and project-level Social Performance functions, integrating strategy, management systems, organisational development, and capability building. His experience covers stakeholder engagement, grievance mechanisms, resettlement, Indigenous Peoples, project-induced in-migration and socio-economic development initiatives.

He has lived and worked extensively across Africa, East Asia, and the Pacific, applying deep technical knowledge of international E&S standards and lender requirements.
